Much better than Genius I

The Genius II is a immense betterment over the Genius I. The I had a very stiff upper, which never softened. That became very uncomfortable in any severe play or lengthy match. The II, however, has a much softer upper and the overall shoe is much softer. Additionally, the II softens a tad with time.

The design is not the best, as it looks like something a referee might wear. The newer designs (color schemes) for the II are even worse.

The shoe lasts tremendously well, and I will be pushing it to ruin it within the 6 month alternate guarantee timeframe.

Overall, it is a very good shoe. It is perfective for a narrow to mid-sized foot. It may get a bit tight in the toebox so keep the laces loose down by the toebox when you lace up. It likewise breathes reasonably well.

Will I buy another pair of the II’s? Probably not. I will in all likelihood wait for a Genius III, or the Barricade VI.
